The Never Ending Story

I did not sleep well Thursday night. I felt ill in the middle of the night, I felt hot and like my heart was racing. And there was another reason – I kept on hearing the Limahl song “Never Ending Story”. On repeat. All night.

I don’t like the song, I will be honest. I was never a fan of Limahl though I knew the song was attached to a film of the same name. When I looked at the lyrics, though, they didn’t strike me as being meaningful to me at that time. Usually when I wake up with a random song playing in my head, the lyrics have some kind of meaning for me. This time, they didn’t. Instead, I was guided to find out what the film was about. I’ve never seen the film, it’s a children’s fantasy film which is not my genre at all and despite it being made in 1984 when I was 13, I had no interest in seeing the film then. And, I never have since.

From my research today the film, in short, is about saving a land called Fantasia which represents humanity’s imagination, from those who wish to destroy it “The Nothing” who represent a malevolent force which is the manifestation of humanity’s lost hopes and dreams. The land is destroyed, but the Empress who protects it is saved by a little boy who lives in his imagination in real life and she gifts him a grain of sand from the remnants of Fantasia through which he can revive it and all it stands for because of his imagination. This spoke to me on many levels (one being let’s not crush children’s imagination) including about the world today. How nature (Fantasia) is in danger of being destroyed by The Nothing (billionaires, tech bros, AI, greed and corruption) and how we all need to come together to stop this from happening. With the answer being the ushering in of the Divine Feminine.

I woke up at around 4am, fully wide awake and sick and tired of hearing this song going on in my head because it was just the lyric “the never ending story aha aha aha” or something. I so dislike it! If I am anything, I am a rock, classic, and blues fan. I do like synthpop but more along the lines of Depeche Mode, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Human League…okay, I like synthpop bands. I was just never keen on Limahl. Anyway, suffice to say I’d had enough of hearing this song going on in my head. What I had then instead, was a spiritual download that I had to type out on my phone notes.

Basically, I was told very clearly that “humanity is at a watershed moment. AI and those pushing their control agendas cannot win. We are being led to the edge of the cliff to show us exactly how low we as a species can stoop, the worst excesses of our darker side. The unchecked excess of the Divine Masculine (not gender, energy). Which is, basically, the creation of our own demise. This moment is how we step back from the brink. How we break free from the greed and corruption. How we usher in the Divine Feminine (again, not gender, energy).

We have to take the lessons from experiences such as the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge and French Revolution amongst others when we do this. That one atrocity does not excuse another. That two wrongs do not make a right. There is no need for death and destruction, that is exactly what we are trying to avoid. We don’t need to use the weapons that heap more destruction on our natural environment. We can do this quietly, peacefully but no less forcefully. We can still resist without making it violent.

The pushback needs to start happening now. This moment in time is a warning in history. It can never be forgotten and it can never be repeated. Humanity can get a lot worse than it is now, this cannot be allowed to happen. This is the time to pull back from the brink, to remember this moment and never let it happen ever again. Nature is fighting back, the rest of us can join Her and do the same. We do not have to accept what is happening. We can and must resist. Quietly, peacefully, and powerfully.

It will work. It will happen. We will prevail. First, we must start. Now.”

That’s it, that’s the message. And it is one I will continue to spread. That we, as a collective, as a community, can come together and create a better future for all of us. For nature, for humanity (which is not separate), for all. It doesn’t mean going to the dark ages of technology, we can still innovate. But in a way that is beneficial to the collective and not the few.

I hope, in your own way and in whatever way that is best for you, you can join me.
