How often do you think that life, generally, will work out for you? Do you have to consciously think ‘life is going to work perfectly’ or can you do so unconsciously? Because that thought process can make the difference between bringing to you that which you desire compared to bringing to you that which you don’t.

Jalal al-Din Rumi was a 13th century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, theologian and Sufi mystic. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential spiritual teachers in history. I take a huge amount of comfort from his writings as they often reveal to me that, regardless of religious background, most spiritual writers know the same thing. That we create our own reality and that we are all one, all connected to the same universe and universal energy and truth.

The point of this quote is to approach life with the mindset that everything will work out. It isn’t about toxic positivity but about seeing that, ultimately, the game of life is rigged in your favour. Make the decision that you will focus on life in this way and your Reticular Activating System (RAS) will oblige. It will filter in all the opportunities that are always out there but which you miss if you have a more negative mindset. You will see life through a very different lens if you make the choice to view life through the prism of it being rigged in your favour.

Life can be good. It can be extremely lucky. It can be everything you want it to be. In order for that to happen, though, adopt the approach that life is rigged in your favour. Because it is. You just have to choose to see it that way, consistently.
