This will be short and sweet for a change!
Because all animals are my favourite animals. Yes, I have a particular preference for pandas (they pay you US$3,000 to look after them in China!) and dogs, but I love animals full stop.
They are absolutely vital to our planet, to our entire existence. Our world and our lives would be so much poorer without them.
Which is why we have to protect them in every way possible. Firstly by removing any notion we have that our lives and habitats are more important than theirs. They aren’t.
So, yes, all animals are my favourite animals. And that includes insects, reptiles, fish and birds. All living things. They all deserve and have as much right to be on this planet as we do.
It’s time we remembered that.
