  12. Going to Christchurch Park in Ipswich
  13. Eating a Sunday roast someone else has cooked
  14. Getting cosy as a family on an autumn evening
  15. Watching Steel Magnolias (though it makes me cry) and Jane Austen films
  16. Travelling
  17. Watching the first SATC film and the TV shows
  18. Being in Norfolk, specifically Holkham Hall
  19. Laughing
  20. Listening to the dawn chorus (even at 4.30am!)
  21. The smell of the air after a summer shower
  22. The smell of cut grass
  23. Being in NYC
  24. Having my hair done in a salon
  25. Nice clothes I feel comfortable in
  26. A quintessentially English summer – Wimbledon, Glastonbury, cricket, garden parties

  28. The build-up to Christmas
  29. Having enough money to be comfortable
  30. Stimulating, intelligent, humorous chats with friends and/or family

There we go, 30 things that make me happy. And there are more I can think of such as seeing the autumn leaves, walks in a forest, walks on a beach, hot chocolate when it’s chilly, sunflowers, spending time with friends, watching the snow fall when you know you don’t have to go anywhere and you’re warm and cosy indoors…I could go on but I will leave it there.
